Data Solutions Architect - Cloud - Remote - to-£85K + benefits - Data Solutions Consultancy Services Provider
Our successful, growing Client are looking for an experienced Data Solutions Architect to be responsible for providing strategic leadership and technical expertise in the design and development of their client's Data Solutions, namely cloud data platforms, IoT analytics, data integration and migration projects.
The Company is a niche Data Management & Analytics consultancy with all the excitement and agility of a new company but with their roots in long standing client partnerships; successfully working with these companies helping them gain valuable insight from their data and providing analytical reporting to help them achieve their strategic objectives.
The role will involve direct management of senior technical staff from both a line management and coaching / mentoring perspective. Therefore, prior technical and team lead experience is essential.
Core Duties:
Shape the organisation's approach to the design and development of our data solutions utilising cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
Set the standard for detailed solutions documentation and data governance.
Lead on promotion of Agile delivery methods.
Management of mid-level to senior team members from both a line management and coaching / mentoring perspective.
Ideal Experience:
Designing cloud data platforms in either Azure / AWS or significant on-premise design experience.
5+ years prior experience in data engineering or business intelligence roles.
Extensive ETL and data pipeline design experience, technology agnostic.
Understanding of data warehouse and data lake principles.
Demonstrable data modelling capabilities.
Expert SQL skills.
The role is as remote as you'd like, with ad-hoc client visits and the knowledge that the door to their Newcastle HQ is always open.
