2nd Line IT Support Engineer

Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for customer service? We're seeking a dedicated 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a dynamic IT team and provide exceptional support to our clients and internal teams.

This role is a key position within the organisation, assisting clients with IT support and troubleshooting whilst also involving projects, solutions and implementations also. If this sounds of interest, please click APPLY to be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Log and process support tasks from all sources such as emails, tickets and calls
  • Resolve support cases and report all actions that lead to resolution
  • Resolve various support cases and determine the nature of problems encountered
  • Obtain replacement or specialist components, fixtures or fittings
  • Prepare equipment for installation and install and configure computer hardware, software, networks, printers, some of this work may require onsite presence
  • Set up accounts for customers and ensure teams know how to log in
  • Various administration including maintaining records, managing equipment and managing stocks of equipment
  • Support any junior members of the team

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in IT Support
  • Microsoft 365 environment including Azure AD, Sharepoint & Exchange.
  • Developed networking knowledge. Particularly networking infrastructure such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, VLAN's, Cabling, Routers, Firewalls etc
  • On-prem and virtualised server administration knowledge
  • Knowledge of backup processes and types
