An excellent opportunity has arisen to work for our established client in Thatcham as a Science Technician. This position will be working alongside a team of technicians, providing practical support to the Science Faculty. Various shift patterns apply: 10am - 6pm (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) 9am - 1pm (Wednesday), 8am - 12pm (Saturday). Please note, this position will be starting in September.
As the Science Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating the use of practical resources and facilities.
- You will prepare practical experiments, apparatus and resources for practical classes and assist with occasional clerical administration, as requested by the teaching staff in the Department for their lessons.
- Assist the team leader technician with the day-to-day organisation and development of the department.
- Organising, storing, and checking the condition of chemicals and equipment.

The successful Science Technician will have the following related skills / experience:
- This role would suit a person who has initiative, is practical and well organised, and who enjoys working as part of a team. Experience of working within a science environment is advantageous but not essential as you will receive full training.
