Join a Leading Manufacturing Business as a Quality Technician - Metrology
Are you an experienced Quality Technician looking for a new challenge? This company, located in Stourbridge, West Midlands, is looking for someone with previous experience in Metrology to join their team. As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for conducting dimensional metrology tests, ensuring all castings are inspected to the correct specifications, and approving or rejecting both raw and machined castings. You will work from Engineering Drawings and use various measuring equipment including gauges, callipers, and micrometers to ensure that products meet the required customer specifications.
Due to the nature of this business, we are looking for someone who has previous experience within Metrology, and preferably someone who has worked within a foundry environment.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience using CMMs, optical and dimensional measuring equipment and metrology equipment.
Working within a busy manufacturing environment you will be responsible for conducting dimensional metrology tests, ensuring all castings are inspected to the correct specifications, approving or rejecting both raw and machined castings, working from Engineering Drawings and using various measuring equipment including gauges, callipers and micrometers.

What You Will Do:
- Conduct dimensional metrology tests
- Ensure all castings are inspected to the correct specifications
- Approve or reject both raw and machined castings
- Work from Engineering Drawings and using various measuring equipment including gauges, callipers and micrometers
- Provide feedback on product quality issues to the manufacturing team
- Ensure that products meet the required customer specifications
What You Will Bring:
- Previous experience within a similar role
- Previous Metrology experience
- Experience using CMMs and metrology equipment
- Experience with using various measuring equipment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
This role is an excellent opportunity for anyone with Quality Inspection experience to work for a well-established manufacturing business in Stourbridge. The company offers a full-time permanent contract with 40 hours per week. The starting salary is up to £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) and 30 days holiday.
