Mechanical Assembler / Assembly Operative who can read engineering drawings, has an understanding of chassis systems and components and a good level of physical fitness, is required for a well-established and reputable company based in Batley, West Yorkshire.
Some Mechanical Assembly experience would be preferred, but is not essential as training will be given for the right candidate
SALARY: Competitive starting rate + Shift Premium

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent - Shift work
WORKING HOURS: Working a 2-shift pattern as follows:
- Week 1 - Monday to Thursday, 6.00am to 3.00pm and Friday 6.00am to 12.30pm
- Week 2 - Monday to Thursday Afternoons, 2.00pm to 11.00pm

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Mechanical Assembler / Assembly Operative who can read engineering drawings, has an understanding of chassis systems and components and a good level of physical fitness.
As the Mechanical Assembler / Assembly Operative you will be assembling components for and to various Fire and Rescue Vehicles, within a busy manufacturing environment.
The Mechanical Assembler / Assembly Operative will assemble components for chassis systems and will be involved with fabricating and fitting sub-assemblies. Training will be provided for the right candidate and this will be done on the dayshift.

DUTIES
Your duties as a Mechanical Assembler / Assembly Operative will include:
- Manufacturing/Assembling mechanical components
- Understanding chassis systems and components and fabricating and fitting sub-assemblies
- Inspection and quality control
- Following and understanding instructions
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in a similar role would be preferred
- Be able to work as part of a team or independently as required
- The ability to work to deadlines
- The ability to read engineering drawings
- Due to the nature of the role, candidates should have a good level of physical fitness
