My Client are seeing an experienced and detail-oriented Management Accountant with a strong background in financial reporting and hands-on experience using Sage accounting software. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing accurate financial data, analysing business performance, and supporting strategic decision-making. They are a fairly small business, so they are looking for someone who isn't afraid to role up their sleeves and get stuck in!
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts using Sage (e.g., Sage 50, Sage 200, or Sage Intacct).
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics and business performance indicators.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decisions.
- Assist with year-end procedures and liaise with external auditors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Support other finance team members with ad hoc financial projects and reporting tasks.

Requirements:
- Professional qualification (ACCA / CIMA / ACA part or fully qualified, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a management accounting role.
- Strong proficiency with Sage accounting software (Sage 50, 200, or Intacct - please specify).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
