HR Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Temporary HR Officer to support a company based in South West London. This role requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills and a thorough understanding of HR practices and employment law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations (ER) Casework:

  • Manage and resolve ER issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance management.

  • Provide advice and support to managers and employees on ER matters.

  • Ensure all ER cases are handled in accordance with company policies and employment law.

  • TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings - Protection of Employment):

  • Oversee and manage the TUPE process for incoming and outgoing employees.

  • Ensure compliance with TUPE regulations and provide guidance to affected employees.

  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to facilitate smooth transitions.

  • DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Checks:

  • Conduct and manage DBS checks for new and existing employees.

  • Maintain accurate records of DBS checks and ensure timely renewals.

  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.

  • General HR Support:

  • Assist with recruitment processes, including job postings, shortlisting, and interviewing.

  • Support onboarding and induction processes for new employees.

  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.

  • Provide general HR administrative support as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in HR, with a focus on ER casework, TUPE, and DBS checks.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
