  • Annual Salary: £31,500 plus £1500 shift pay
  • Location: Severn Beach
  • Job Type: Full-time, alternating early 06:00 - 14:30 and late shifts 10:30 - 19:00

Reed is representing a client in the aviation sector seeking a dedicated Warehouse Team Leader to oversee a small, dynamic team. This role requires a complete 5-year work history, a clean DBS, and adherence to strict government agency regulations. A Counterbalance forklift licence refreshed within the last two years is essential, and a Reach truck licence is desirable. X-ray operator skills are a bonus, but training can be provided.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Unloading and loading trucks and shipping containers.
  • Booking goods into the facility using computers, tablets, and scanners; some computer literacy is required.
  • Picking and accurately labelling goods for export and domestic delivery.
  • Operating Electric Forklift trucks and Reach trucks.
  • Ensuring the safety of the team and that all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Screening of goods and threat detection by x-ray and hand search.
  • Being flexible for some overtime work, paid at 1.5x the standard rate.
  • Supporting the team and contributing to a culture of health and safety.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Complete 5-year work/checkable history and clean DBS.
  • Valid Counterbalance forklift licence, refreshed within the last two years.
  • Reach truck licence is advantageous.
  • Willingness to undergo X-ray operator training if not already qualified.
  • Good computer literacy and proficiency in using technology for inventory management.
  • Strong leadership skills and a commitment to team safety and efficiency.
  • Flexibility for occasional overtime and travel for induction training.
  • Not colourblind due to the requirements of X-ray operation.
