Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Complex Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our team in Guildford. The ideal candidate will have prior experience and proficiency in handling complex care needs, including PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, wound dressing, medication administration, and stoma care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients with complex medical needs.
- Competently manage PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, wound dressing, medication administration, and stoma care as required.
- Ensure adherence to care plans and medical protocols under the supervision of qualified healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in complex care settings.
- Competency in PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, wound dressing, medication administration, and stoma care.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
