About the Job:
The Management Accountant will support the Finance team by focusing on product cost reduction and managing component purchasing for key projects. Responsibilities include stakeholder management, process improvement, and supporting new product introductions.
Duties will include:
- Overseeing the month-end process, including comprehensive management of accounting entries.
- Producing management and group reporting.
- Conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analysing account movements.
- Performing analytical reviews with department managers to understand budget variances and forecast future performance.
- Assisting in budget and forecast preparations.
- Submitting monthly VAT returns.
- Supporting the development of internal management reporting and ERP system changes.
- Investigating systems to improve controls and efficiency.
- Preparing audit schedules and liaising with auditors as needed.
About the Successful Applicant:
The ideal candidate will be studying towards CIMA/ACCA or be qualified by experience within management accounts. They should possess strong financial accounting skills, excellent analytical abilities, and a commercial outlook, with proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
