Join our client's dynamic team as an Instrument Build Technician, where you'll play a crucial role in the development and production of cutting-edge products, from prototype to commercial instruments. This hands-on position involves mechanical and electronic assembly, quality control, and component testing. You'll collaborate closely with design and production engineers, ensuring smooth transitions and continuous improvements.

Instrument Build Technician key responsibilities:

  • Assemble sub-assemblies and devices to meet specifications and standards.
  • Follow production procedures and maintain accurate manufacturing records.
  • Manage stock control and assist with product updates and upgrades.
  • Quickly address production quality issues and support technical problem-solving.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional workspace.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience Required:

  • GCSEs in Maths & English; an engineering qualification is a plus.
  • Experience in prototype and production environments, with a focus on electromechanical products.
  • Hands-on technical skills in mechanical and electronic assembly.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
