Location: Apsley, Hertfordshire
Starting Salary: £40,221 per annum plus £6,243 Market Enhancement, with the opportunity to progress to a maximum of £44,428 per annum plus £6,084 Market Enhancement + one-off £1,000 Welcome Payment
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Permanent

This role offers the opportunity to manage complex and diverse caseloads, with a focus on keeping children safely at home with their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake single child and family assessments identified by our Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub.
  • Lead on the most complex cases, utilizing your advanced expertise in social work practice.
  • Support less experienced staff through shared responsibility and guidance.
  • Conduct strength-based assessments and ensure robust pathways for Early Help.
  • Prepare and deliver welfare reports for conferences and court hearings.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion in service delivery and within the workforce.

Requirements:

  • Qualified and registered social worker with significant senior level frontline experience in a safeguarding team.
  • Recent experience of case work in Assessments and in-depth knowledge of relevant childcare legislation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing and delivering reports.
  • Ability to drive and/or travel around the County (a DVLA check will be required upon appointment).
