Principal Sustainability Consultant

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior level Sustainability Consultant who is looking to progress to a Principal level by joining a team of building performance specialists within a leading sustainability consultancy.
Role responsibilities for a principal sustainability consultant include:
- Identifying development needs where needed for the team, incorporate training programmes, and provide training for accreditations and chartership for colleagues.
- Work alongside the director to create business plans for the planning and IES team
- Making sure reports comply with planning and planning requirements
- Lead on Major and complex projects and ensure they are delivered successfully and on time
The ideal Principal sustainability consultant will have:
- Relevant degree within a sustainability, engineering, or environmental science field with extensive experience within a relevant role within the built environment
- Achieved CIBSE chartership or working towards it
- Great knowledge of Part L compliance and UK building regulations
- Experience with IES software to carry out overheating assessments
- Good knowledge of Passivhaus, operational energy modelling processes, and whole life carbon assessments
