Overview

The role of this Project Manager / Scrum Master is to manage the planning and delivery of technology projects for the client with focus in finance systems area, including properly analysing and documenting the requirements.

Key Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Run an Agile/Scrum delivery squad of automation & integration business initiatives with delivery from multiple Technology teams
  • Lead project planning activities, agreeing and documenting project scope, targets and high-level plans required to translate desired business benefits into clear and achievable project objectives
  • Determine the project costs, approach, staffing, responsibilities, and schedule
  • Measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the process to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectations
  • Report progress to Technology and external stakeholders as required, driving communication and co-ordination for the success of the projects, and delivering project status reports and other project information to project stakeholders and senior management on a regular basis
  • Proactively manage and address project risks and issues, escalating high priority issues and risks with suggested solutions
  • Review and manage all changes to project requirements through formally defined scope change process (balance scope, schedule, budget, quality and risks, adjusting as necessary)
  • Liaise with Architecture, Security, suppliers and wider Technology and business stakeholders to deliver projects according to the agreed design, plan and technology standards
  • Lead, direct and co-ordinate project teams comprising internal and external resources to maximum effectiveness to deliver projects to time, cost and quality standards
  • Obtain buy-in from business and project sponsors for all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, quality assurance plans, budget, schedule, and scope changes
  • Liaise with technology support teams to ensure business and support readiness and effective transition for deployment of new or changed services
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish nice-to-have requests from the underlying must-have needs.

General Experience

  • Delivery & implementation experience of Finance and related systems
  • Experience with requirements gathering & analysis with Finance related systems and their implementations
  • Experience in project management for technology programmes and projects
  • Experience of business analysis & requirements gathering in complex organisations across multiple projects
  • Project delivery experience across large scale, complex organisations
  • Strong leadership and a clear track record of delivering outstanding performance
  • Experience in stakeholder management
  • An ability to work effectively in a matrix organisation is essential
