Office Administrator

We are seeking an additional Administrator to join our existing team in Farnham on a full time basis ideally to start by Mid July. We can offer a generous hourly rate plus holiday accrual, on site parking and Mon to Fri hours working 37 per week with an early finish on a Fri. The role would suit candidates with proven administration skills who are a competent user of excel and who have access to their own car due to our location.

Working for a well-established and local organisation, this role will initially be working within our offices, with the potential of working from home on occasion once trained up.

The purpose of the job as one of our Administrators, is to provide effective administrative support to the Area Team and to proactively ensure that appropriate procedures are followed, and standards are met at all times with duties including as listed below:

Working within a small team as part of a large organisation your main duties as Administrator is as listed below:

  • Ensure effective handling of all applications are correctly processed.
  • Working with an online application system and some paper based applications.
  • Follow our client guidelines, processes and procedures and comply with legislation, scheme rules and internal audit requirements.
  • Provide effective case management including processing applications, contract/licence approval and case review and closure by following national instructions.
  • Provide a customer service function for above activities, giving verbal and written advice and communication to customers.
  • All activities to be carried out in accordance with customer service/citizens charter standards
  • In addition, liaising with other departments on technical issues and queries involving direct liaison with the client.
  • Keeping the client up to date at all times with any changes or queries making sure the system is kept up to date at all times.

To be considered for this role, you will have worked within an Administration role previously, whereby you are following processes and procedures and accurately processing documentation both manually and via the IT systems. You should have good communication skills over the phone as well as on email, have a good eye for detail, excellent organisational skills and confident with the use of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
