Role Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of clients across various industries
- Preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance with UK regulations
- Supporting the provision of compliance work
- Monitoring workflow, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met
- Providing expert advice on tax planning and business strategy
- Assisting with the planning of audits when required
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Building strong relationships with clients and acting as their trusted advisor
The Right Candidate
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Qualified by experience also considered
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients across various industries
- Strong skills in workflow management and ensuring operational efficiency
- Expertise in compliance work, with a thorough understanding of UK regulations
- Ability to review and oversee the work of junior staff, maintaining high standards of accuracy
- Willingness to get hands dirty and be hands-on in all aspects of the role
- Experience in planning for audits is a bonus, but not essential
- A proactive approach with the initiative to take on new challenges and make an impact
