Role Overview:
As a Solutions Architect, you will:
- Collaborate with business, regional, and national stakeholders to identify, plan, design, and deliver cutting-edge IT services and infrastructure.
- Identify opportunities to enhance and support existing technology and critical infrastructure.
- Oversee technical design, implementation, maintenance, security, final line support, and budgeting for a wide range of systems.
- Provide expert technical solutions and manage IT-related issues, including participating in an on-call rota for emergency IT services.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science or Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., MBCS).
Required Experience:
- Proven experience of conceptualising and identifying solutions, managing the design, implementation, and technical management of enterprise-grade systems (physical, virtual, and cloud platforms).
- The ability to take ownership of projects through the full lifecycle, including planning and budget management.
- Proficiency in maintaining documentation using tools like UML, DFD, and network diagrams.
- Experience in system management, optimisation, and implementing backup recovery and business continuity processes.
- Knowledge of implementing systems that meet internal and external security standards.
- Expertise in infrastructure technologies and providing technical insights for procurement decisions.
Personal Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with an analytical approach to complex issues.
- The ability to prioritise work independently and collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for the organisation.
