Quality of Practice Officer

This role sits with our Quality of Practice Team and has a specific focus on Early Intervention Practice. It is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative and potentially ground breaking project looking at the development of early intervention tools and approaches.

The aim is to be able to support people with dementia and their families and carers to remain in control and independent safely for as long as possible, reducing the likelihood of harmful crises by building on existing personal, family and community strengths.

This role will be integral to the success of the project.

You will work alongside internal colleagues to:

  • Research existing tools and approaches, looking widely across social care, heath and third sector.
  • Review their suitability and appropriateness for people living with dementia.
  • Support our services to pilot implementations of tools and approaches to test effectiveness and suitability.

About you

You will have:

  • Experience and understanding of the impact of living with dementia (either professional or personal)
  • Knowledge of early intervention models and approaches
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults or children and families with complex needs and commitment to empowerment and person centred practice

You are:

  • Energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about the aims of the project
  • Able to take initiative and be responsible for managing your work day to day
  • Able to collaborate with others (including people with lived experience of dementia) to develop new and innovative approaches to support
