Live In Couples Job - Leicester, Leicestershire - start ASAP - 1 bed flat accommodation (cottage available from early 2025) - £50,000+ GPA
Our client is looking to employ a Couple to look after a large period property just north of Leicester. The property is home to a couple who live there full time and they entertain occasionally (shooting parties during the season) and also have visiting family.
The owners will remain hands on with the care and upkeep of the property and require the Couple to assist them with cleaning, maintenance and generally keeping the home running smoothly. They are not looking for candidates to come in and take over the running of their home, more to support them on a day to day basis. They will consider candidates with less private household experience but it is a traditional property so the Housekeeper especially should have some experience with the care of antiques and silver.
Duties will include:
- Hands on cleaning
- Bed changing
- Laundry (mainly bedding and towels)
- Occasionally help with guests
- Very occasional basic cooking
- General DIY and basic property maintenance
- Driving and looking after the household vehicles
- The housekeepers partner should also be happy to help with more heavy housekeeping tasks
- Sometimes helping with shopping and running errands
- Assisting with some basic administration a couple of hours per week
Must be drivers and have excellent references and Enhanced DBS checks
