Role
The Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving retail sales goals in the assigned subregion, building relationships with retailer management, developing and supervising brand specialists, hiring and managing freelancers, monitoring stock levels, and planning and executing special events.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in collaboration with the Regional Executive.
  • Build a high-performing sales team consisting of Brand Specialists and Freelancers, ensuring spending stays within budget.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, supervise, coach, and motivate Freelancers to achieve sales goals; manage schedules and track daily sales targets.
  • Supervise, coach, and motivate Brand Specialists to achieve sales goals.
  • Oversee Account Coordinator and Brand Specialist (Travel).
  • Support retail stores by maintaining a consistent call cycle and schedule approved by the Regional Executive.
  • Collaborate with corporate and store partners to maintain the brand's merchandising guidelines and standards.
  • Ensure counters meet brand standards for image, identity, and hygiene.
  • Review sell-through numbers, report stock levels, and communicate stock updates to stores.
  • Complete and submit needed grids from the Sales Promotions department on time.
  • Regularly communicate market needs, opportunities, and results with the Regional Executive during weekly updates.
  • Prepare for the week ahead during office days and complete assigned sales volume reports.
  • Book travel at least one month in advance to manage T&E budget effectively.
  • Implement in-store merchandising programs consistently and maintain brand standards.
  • Train and motivate inter-sell and store staff on products and promotions.
  • Set up, coordinate, and execute in-store events; negotiate event setups with store managers and track performance.
  • Communicate goals and event focuses with the Global, National, and Regional artistry teams.
  • Complete daily recaps to share with the Regional Executive.
  • Conduct weekly calls with the Regional Executive to review successes and opportunities.
  • Travel up to 80% within the region, with potential overnight stays.
  • Visit four stores per week, with up to 50% requiring overnight stays.
  • Allocate one office day per week.

Bi-Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Connect with the National Education Executive for training needs and opportunities.
  • Align with the Artistry Team on events and goals.
  • Partner with store management to achieve targets, resolve issues, and maintain positive relations.
  • Oversee freelance team payroll.

Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Submit expense reports.
  • Achieve sales goals.
  • Submit travel calendars to the Regional Executive by the 15th of the prior month.
  • Manage the freelance budget.
  • Manage the travel budget.

Profile:

  • Must have a car and a valid driver's license for store travel.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in cosmetic or retail management with proven success in motivating and training sales staff.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and creative thinker.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical approach to identifying opportunities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work flexible retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical requirements include working on the sales floor for extended periods, walking up and down stairs or ladders, and lifting up to 25 lbs regularly.
