Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Pay: £85-£90 per day
Location: Hammersmith
Employment Type: Full-time, Term Time Only
Academics is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a wonderful child with Autism in a vibrant Hammersmith school.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will:
- Provide one-on-one support to a child with Autism, fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with educational and social activities, promoting engagement and development
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement personalized learning plans
- Support communication and social skills, encouraging independence and confidence
- Monitor and document progress, adapting strategies as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children with Autism or special educational needs is preferred
- Strong communication skills with a patient and empathetic approach
- A relevant qualification in teaching assistance or child development is an advantage
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build positive relationships
