Day to Day of the Role:
- Delivering stimulating and inspiring music lessons to students, in accordance with the UK curriculum.
- Planning and preparing lesson content, including practical music sessions and theoretical instruction.
- Assessing student progress, providing feedback, and setting objectives to advance their musical abilities.
- Managing the classroom environment to ensure a safe and engaging space for learning and performance.
- Collaborating with colleagues to integrate music into a broader educational context and school events.
- Encouraging students' appreciation of music and developing their performance skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Experience in teaching music within the UK curriculum.
- Availability to work a minimum of three days per week.
- Proven ability to manage classroom dynamics and promote an enriching learning experience.
- Strong track record with ‘Good' or ‘Outstanding' observation ratings.
- Willingness to complete necessary compliance checks, including Enhanced DBS and employment references.
