Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor

Location: Bristol / Bath

Salary: Basic £19.23, PAYE £22.03 and Umbrella £24.65 (plus company car)

Contract: Contract till February 2025

Hours: 37

About the Role:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Asbestos Surveyor based in the Bristol and Bath area.

On a day to day basis, they will be undertaking a mix of Management, Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys in our properties to enable us to meet legal requirements. This will include but not limited to a mixture of single and multiple room surveys, roof and job specific surveys as well as full property management surveys.

They will need to arrange and visit customers in their homes across a substantial geographical area for which a company vehicle will be provided - therefore a full driving licence will be essential for this opportunity. They will be providing an essential service to ensure that our properties are compliant, therefore, the main focus for this role is to provide a high quality level of service.

Person Specification

  • BOHS P402.
  • BOHS P405. (D)
  • Degree in role related subject. (D)
  • CIOB/CIH/RICS equivalent qualification in property surveying. (D)
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Experience of undertaking refurbishment and demolition and management surveys.
  • Domestic dwelling surveying experience from a technical perspective, demonstrating significant understanding of the built environment.
  • Clear and demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety and Asbestos legislation pertaining to the construction industry including HHSRS.
  • Practical experience of working in the construction industry and or in the social housing sector. (D)
  • Experience of undertaking property surveys working on a similar level within an RSL, local or public authority, or private practice.
  • Full understanding of the Decent Homes Standard as well as the Housing Health & Safety Rating System. (D)
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role
