About the role:
- Strengthen the link between sites and finance regarding stock control, using KPIs to add business value.
- Develop and manage gas inventory control processes across all sites, ensuring adherence to policies and audit compliance.
- Assist with balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring timely action on outstanding items.
- Forecast gas inventory levels to support working capital and cash flow forecasts.
- Implement working capital initiatives to reduce Days Inventory Outstanding.
- Manage intercompany balance positions for commodity hedges.
- Lead the customer-specific hedging quotation process, execute trades, track actuals, and report results.
- Communicate the impact of commodity hedging on cost of sales to the Commercial team, ensuring full understanding of margin impacts.
- Participate in departmental initiatives and undertake ad hoc projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Qualified ACA or CIMA, QBE
- Experience in a financial accounting environment.
- Confident and effective communicator.
- Initiative and self-motivation with a strong desire to develop.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and seek improvements in systems, reports, information, and data.
- Effective communication skills.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
