About the Role: Hays Education is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate Cover Supervisors to work across a wide range of schools in South Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and individuals with experience working with secondary school-aged children or in youth leadership roles (e.g., Scouts, Army Cadets) or youth sports instruction roles (i.e. Swimming Teachers, Football coach).
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students remain on task.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Support students with their learning and address any questions or concerns.
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure a smooth and effective learning experience.
Requirements:
- A degree or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with secondary school-aged children or in youth leadership roles.
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments.
