We have an exciting opportunity for a Locum Residential Secretary to join a well-established, friendly law firm in the Birmingham area. This role is perfect for someone looking to be part of a supportive team that values skill and dedication.
What We're Looking For:
- At least 2 years of experience in conveyancing
- Previous experience as a legal secretary
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Opening new cases and managing initial client communications
- Conducting client due diligence and anti-money laundering (AML) checks
- Actively reporting updates to clients
- Keeping client files and billing records current
- Interpreting legal documents, forms, and procedures with guidance
- Completing administrative tasks promptly and efficiently
- Providing comprehensive secretarial support to the legal team
