Our current specialty is the provision of expert witness services for Housing conditions claims, both Civil claims under the Landlord and Tenant Act and Criminal claims under the Environmental Protection Act.

The role

The successful applicant will support Ultima Legal Services in the provision of expert reports to various solicitors dealing with Housing Disrepair claims.

Key responsibilities (not an exhaustive list):

  • Assist with daily administrative tasks
  • Liaising with solicitors, surveyors, and tenants regarding all aspects of expert witness report provision e.g. booking time/date of visits, receiving reports, providing to instructing solicitors, and dealing with any queries they may have with the reports
  • Prepare routine letters and other communications using a case management system (Pipedrive)
  • Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion
  • Dealing with account issues using Xero
  • Carry out other duties, as and when required, to assist in the smooth running of the business

The successful applicant:

To excel in this role, you should be well organised and a good communicator both written and verbal with a good telephone manner. You must be IT literate with a working knowledge of MS Office applications, and Xero.

You will also have:

  • Preferably office experience
  • Experience using a case management system
  • Experience using Xero accounting software (not essential but would be an advantage)
