The Role

Nigel Wright are delighted to be exclusively supporting a manufacturing business in County Durham with their search for an Accounts Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and register purchase ledger invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow forecasting
  • Support accounts receivable by accurately posting incoming payments and maintaining up-to-date records
  • Act as a first point of contact for both customer and supplier queries, delivering professional and helpful service
  • Assist with the smooth running of daily operations within the accounts department

The Person

Skills and attributes:

  • Bring a proactive, inquisitive mindset and a positive, "can-do" attitude
  • Be confident using IT systems, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Have experience working in a fast-paced accounts environment
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, with a confident telephone manner
