Overview of the role

The Pharmacy Delivery and Collection Service (PDC) has been developed to provide a caring, consistent, efficient, and professional service across the UK. We currently deliver to Care Homes, public patients, our own pharmacies and care home rooms as well as collecting prescriptions from doctors' surgeries.Teams of drivers are based at hubs and satellite locations and are profiled to meet the dynamic demands of the service. Boots PDC not only ensures safe and accurate hand-over of medicines and prescriptions but deliver legendary customer care and a consistently high level of service to our most valuable and vulnerable customers, enabling us to continue our journey to become the world's best pharmacy led business.

Your Responsibilities

  • Works with the PDC Manager in delivering PDC operation across their area with accountability for delivery to targets. May work alone from a hub/satellite location or alongside another PDC Manager in a larger hub
  • The Coordinator works with the leadership team for the modelling region but has no direct reports. May complete other tasks with appropriate delegated authority from the PDC Manager
  • Accountable for delivery of outstanding customer care to all PDC customers.
  • On a day to day basis ensures an efficient operation, supporting the delivery of key KPIs & targets
  • Delivers operation excellence around areas such as vehicle management, KPI reporting, & other processes
  • Takes calls from drivers and internal and external stakeholders – phone provided
  • Ensures adherence to standards & policies in particular around Standard Operation Procedures, H&S etc
  • Acts as an Ambassador for Boots & PDC at all times

  • You must have good planning skills & attention to detail. You will also have a great knowledge of systems & process and an ability to operate these effectively
  • Good communication & people skills with an ability to engage & motivate their teams.
