Hyperion Partners is seeking an experienced and dynamic Interim General Manager to lead and manage a prominent student accommodation site in Exeter. This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact during a pivotal period of change and growth within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards of service delivery, safety, and resident satisfaction.
- Team Management: Provide leadership and direction to on-site staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure the financial performance of the property meets or exceeds targets.
- Resident Experience: Maintain and improve the overall resident experience, addressing any concerns and implementing initiatives to enhance student life.
- Compliance: Ensure all operations are fully compliant with relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with key stakeholders, including university partners, suppliers, and the local community, to strengthen relationships and drive collaboration.
- Crisis Management: Lead the team in handling any emergencies or unexpected issues, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
Requirements:
- Proven Experience: Extensive experience in a senior management role within the property or student accommodation sector.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management abilities, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive and pragmatic approach to problem-solving, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility: Availability to work flexibly to meet the demands of the role, including occasional evenings and weekends as required.
