Salary: £52,285 - £60,730 + car/cash allowance and a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join the team!

The Contracts Manager working for the Capital, Inspection and Maintenance group, will have the responsibility of delivering diverse multi-Voltage projects as part of our Annual Business Plan.

You will deliver this using a mixed use of Contractor resource overseeing both Safety and delivery to the required standards.

We are looking for someone who can plan, deliver and report on these works to meet our outputs outlined in the ED2 settlement. A good Team worker with the ability to be flexible and continually improve our performance to maximise efficiency and cost savings across our portfolio of projects.

Roles & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Management of Safety for our External Framework contractors in the delivery of large projects.
  • Origination of the Capital delivery work programmes inline with our business plan.
  • Management of budgets to ensure governance of project values.
  • Ability to provide reports on progress and finance expenditure of projects under their control.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • A strong engineering or construction background, ideally with overhead lines or substations from Low Voltage - 33kV, experience including safety and CDM regulations and a proven track record in the successful delivery of major projects.
  • The ability to accurately forecast and control costs, understand Industry Legislation, Health and Safety Legislation and SSEN Company policies and procedures.
  • Proven experience of successfully leading and developing large multi-disciplined teams.
  • A strong delivery focus with the ability to achieve excellent outcomes in demanding timescales within a high-pressured project environment.
  • Be confident and assured in managing multiple project execution issues whilst analysing and prioritising key delivery risks and issues for the project on an ongoing basis.
  • *Regular travel is required and as a result we can only accept applications from candidates that hold a current driving licence.**
