About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Teaching Assistant to join one of our schools Year 5 team. The successful candidate will provide 1-2-1 assistance to a child with minor special needs, ensuring they receive the support necessary to thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to a Year 5 student with minor special needs.
- Assist in implementing educational and developmental activities.
- Work closely with the class teacher to adapt and deliver the curriculum.
- Support the student in developing social skills and managing behavior.
- Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting children's learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and parents.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is mandatory. If not currently held, willingness to apply for one is required.
- Able to provide all mandatory documents required for the role.
