Responsibilities for the role of the Distribution Shift Manager
- Supervise and direct personnel, including scheduling and training activities
- Monitor the movement of goods, ensuring precise inventory management and streamlined operations
- Implement health, safety, and compliance standards
- Communicate effectively with other departments, suppliers, and transportation companies
- Quickly address and resolve any operational challenges
- Keep detailed records, generate reports, and oversee budget management
Specifications required for the role of Distribution Shift Manager
- Background in a distribution setting, supplying retail businesses is essential for this role
- Strong people management abilities are required for the role
- Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Essential the candidate has good proficiency in operating a PPT and forklift according to RTITB standards
- Must have an understanding of legal requirements related to warehouse operations, concerning H&S practices
