About the role
We currently have exciting opportunities for experienced Underwriters to join our Bespoke team in either York or Bristol.
As a High-Net-Worth Underwriter, you will be responsible for building and maintaining productive relationships with our unique network of NFU Mutual Agents, delivering first class technical support and assistance on renewals, mid-term adjustments and new business. You'll ideally have Underwriting experience and experience of working with High-Net-Worth individuals.
As a High-Net-Worth Underwriter you will be underwriting risks that meet NFUM's risk appetite and you will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues from all areas of the business including, Team Leaders, Senior Technical Underwriters, Technical Underwriting Manager and loss control team to ensure that the level of service and underwriting you provide is second to none.
NFU Mutual provide a comprehensive induction to the role and will tailor a training plan to suit your needs. Following your induction, you will receive ongoing training which will support your career progression and personal growth.
We encourage a healthy work/life balance, and this opportunity will offer you a 35-hour working week, with shift patterns falling between 8am and 6pm Monday - Friday, and no weekends! Our hybrid working model also means you can work from the comfort of your own home up to 80% of the time once you are fully up to speed.
About you
You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with exceptional time management and organisational skills and be able to influence colleagues of all levels. Collaboration is a key element of this role as is stakeholder management and being able to effectively work as part of a team.
Being a strong team player who is self-motivated and pro-active, you will strive to achieve high quality standards and output, even when challenged and working under pressure. You will be used to always putting the customer first and fully considering their requirements whilst developing lasting relationships.
We are looking for a customer-orientated and motivated professional who has home Underwriting experience (High Net Worth experience beneficial but not essential as training will be provided).
