Day to day of the role:
- Prepare and organize equipment and materials for science lessons, ensuring that all resources are ready for use.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and uphold the highest safety standards to provide a secure learning environment.
- Manage laboratory stock efficiently, keeping track of resources and ensuring their availability.
- Provide support to teaching staff and students during practical science lessons, facilitating a smooth and effective learning experience.
- Handle the proper disposal of waste materials in accordance with safety protocols.
- Perform routine safety checks and maintain essential safety equipment to prevent accidents.
- Work collaboratively with the science department to enhance laboratory practices and contribute to the educational mission.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A robust background in science or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in scientific principles.
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting is highly desirable, showcasing practical skills and familiarity with laboratory operations.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, enabling effective coordination and information dissemination.
