Finance Assistant

Reed accountancy have recently partnered up with a fantastic engineering business based in Liverpool who due to continued growth are looking for another candidate to join their finance team.

This role will be reporting to the Group Finance Manager and will be stationed at our main offices in Liverpool.

Role Objective:

  • Overseeing accounts payable records, posting monthly bills ensuring precise and timely processing in line with accounting deadlines.
  • Ensure the prompt preparation and processing of data to enable accurate monthly management accounts.
  • Processing of monthly expenditures.
  • Intercompany balances and accounts to trial balance.
  • Generating intercompany balances
  • Ensure all tasks and responsibilities are executed in line with organizational procedures.
  • Understanding of the significance of the data and the legal and ethical obligation to maintain confidentiality.
  • Build and maintain effective trusted relationships with team members.

Qualifications:

  • AAT, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Experience within a MEP Contractor, or similar industry (not essential)
  • Experience with Sage and/or COINS (not essential)
  • Proficient with Excel and other software packages
