Role- AutoCAD Technician
Salary- £30,000- £35,000 per annum
Type- Permanent
Location- Milton Keynes
My client design and manufacture a range of retail displays and furniture . They are looking to take on a CAD Technician, on a permanent basis, in Milton Keynes.
The AutoCAD Technician will ideally have the following attributes:
- Be Degree/ HND/ HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a similar Engineering subject
- Graduate level will be considered as well as those with 2-5 years' or more of industry experience working in a CAD / design role
- Experience in joinery
- Good attention to detail
- Knowledge of CAD software – Inventor or Solidworks
- Proficient with using Microsoft Office programmes
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to travel as required as a large part of the role to customer sites, both in the UK and abroad
- Someone who is keen to progress and develop with a company long term
The AutoCAD Technician role will involve:
- Working as part of the Drawing Office
- Supporting both the Projects and Process Engineering teams
- Working to produce drawings using AutoCAD
- Creating layouts and detailed drawings in line with standards
- Keeping on top of project schedules
- Checking and reviewing drawings
