Our client, based in High Wycombe, are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant. What you'll do:
As a Management Accountant, your role will be key in supporting the Managing Director. You will be responsible for processing the transactions which underpin reporting, providing analysis and insight on business performance, and helping deliver improvements/automation to reporting. Your ability to handle large data sets, reconcile accounts, and communicate effectively across the business will be crucial in this role.
- Ensure financial transactions are recorded and reported correctly
- Record project-based costs and revenues to report project profitability
- Operate credit control processes to maximise cash collections from customers
- Deliver monthly close process in a timely manner
- Assist with cash flow monitoring and forecasting
- Prepare & reconcile VAT returns for review prior to submission
- Implement a new accounting system to deliver improved processes and stronger reporting
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Management Accountant role is someone who brings strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative nature, adaptability, and a proactive approach. Your creative problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities will be essential in this role. As a team player, you should be able to work independently while also being eager to learn and develop new skills.
- Minimum three years' experience as an accountant
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or Qualified By Experience
- Excellent reconciliation and analysis skills
- Strong Excel skills with understanding of how to handle large data sets
- Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing
