Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Cranborne, Dorset
Hourly Rate: £11.72 - £12.78
Annual Salary: £20,941.30 - £22,835.30 (Term-Time Only)
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, Term-Time Only

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with students aged 11-16 who have special educational needs, including Autism and related conditions. Your role will be diverse, providing both academic and practical support across the classroom and outdoor settings such as Bushcraft and life skills activities. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to each student's educational journey and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teaching staff to provide tailored support
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times
  • Help students meet their Education and Healthcare Plan (EHCP) goals
  • Apply positive behaviour management techniques suited to individual needs
  • Accurately document incidents, accidents, and health and safety details
  • Foster positive social engagement and encourage group participation

  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) - desirable but not essential
