Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public Sector Organisation in London to recruit a Category Manager on a permanent basis.

Within this role the individual will be responsible for leading a team in the delivery of the procurement strategy across the Social Care area. Reporting directly into the Head of Procurement, the individual will be collaborating closely with commissioners and senior stakeholders to develop a detailed work plan.

The role offers a hybrid working policy; with the requirement to attend the office 2 days per week, with the other 3 days working from home.

Role:

  • Lead and participate in corporate procurement projects
  • Oversee the development of tenders, ensuring full compliance
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to manage risk
  • Integrate policies into procurement practice
  • Support commissioners to manage key strategic relationships
  • Responsible for managing a team of Procurement officers
  • Provide specialist knowledge in the application of all service and corporate contracts
  • Liaise with stakeholders on a regular basis

Individual:

  • Ideally suited to a candidate with an in depth understanding of Public Procurement Law
  • Experience of managing and motivating a team, with a proven track record in delivering high profile commercial and procurement services
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
