Job Purpose
As a
Senior Educational Psychologist
, you will be leading a team of educational psychologists as part of a multi-disciplinary team, working with children and young adults with learning difficulties in an educational and residential environment.
Essential Requirements
- BPS Recognised professional training in Educational or Clinical Psychology
- HCPC Registered
- Experience of working within a school, college, and residential settings
- Experience of delivering training
Professional Responsibilities
- Utilise systemic ideas, consultation models, and psychological concepts related to attachment, learning, and behaviour.
- Apply a person-centred model to provide support to children and young adults with autism, epilepsy, and other conditions.
- Provide therapeutic input as needed to support the well-being and development of the individuals in care.
- Work collaboratively with staff to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the educational and therapeutic support provided to the individuals in the program.
- Stay updated on best practices and research in educational psychology to continuously improve services.
- Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for the individuals.
