Salary: £65K pa with 20% bonus

Summary:

Responsible & accountable for the quality of products and services. Ensuring the highest quality standards are consistently achieved. To ensure robust measures & targets are tracked, reported, and communicated. To work collaboratively with all areas of the business and key stakeholders to support and drive quality initiatives and culture across the business. To increase RFT to exceed target through planned strategic quality initiative

Experience, knowledge and Qualifications:

  • Formal quality &/or engineering qualifications
  • Experience of leading a high performing quality team
  • Experience of managing quality in manufacturing
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • In depth understanding of quality control and legal standards
  • Experience of data analysis / statistical methods
  • A keen eye for detail and a result driven approach
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Professional approach with strong decision-making skills
  • Highly resilient with a positive mindset
  • Good strong planning and organisation skills

Key Accountabilities:

  • Implement quality procedures for end-to-end manufacturing process
  • Review and report current quality status identifying quick wins and strategic projects required
  • Implement and own a quality improvement plan with key deliverables and outputs
  • Build & deploy a robust & high performing team responsible for internal & supplier quality
  • Drive any necessary culture change and improvement in business performance to deliver strategic goals
  • Create & understand Voice of the Customer & End User issues, prioritising and leading solutions ensuring change and revised methods are trained and communicated
  • Set up quality controls and gateways across manufacturing & suppliers working with stakeholders
  • Liaise with colleagues providing training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards
  • Assist in continuous improvement activities throughout the business ensuring that problems are prevented and that customer requirements are met with any problems resolved effectively and economically
  • Support company reports with detailed quality data
  • Support the creation of a quality culture through structured team meetings & collaboration
  • To build, retain and utilise industry insights to ensure standards are ahead of the curve
  • Manage, coach and develop others to enhance skills and improve efficiency
