  • Salary: £19.19 per hour - equivalent annual salary £36,000 pa.
  • Location: Swindon - 2 days in the office, 3 days from home
  • Job Type: Full-time, Contract

My client is looking for a Social Media and Content Officer to join their Content and Marketing team. Reporting to the Digital Communities Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in growing, engaging, and retaining their digital communities. You will be responsible for creating inspiring content and expressing the brand's values and personality across various social media channels, email, and content marketing.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Collaborate in managing social media profiles, engagement, and influence.
  • Develop new and diverse online communities using existing and new channels.
  • Produce regular reports on social media, email, and content marketing activity.
  • Support the delivery of strategic content plans to increase reach and influence across online channels.
  • Execute content, email, and social media plans for integrated advocacy and fundraising campaigns.
  • Plan and monitor campaigns, programmes, and projects to engage local communities and raise brand awareness.
  • Execute automated and regular email marketing activities, managing customer data in compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Provide advice on digital media and content creation across the organisation.
  • Participate in projects supporting corporate priorities and advise on best practices for social, email, and content marketing activity.
  • Keep abreast of marketing and digital developments within the heritage and cultural sectors.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable skills in a social media and content management ideally for a high-profile brand
  • Proficiency in social media analysis tools and data-driven activity refinement.
  • Proven track record in planning, creating, and delivering innovative content for social media and newsletters.
  • Experience in content management tools and social scheduling platforms.
  • Experience writing within brand guidelines and maintaining a consistent tone of voice.
  • Experience executing email-marketing strategies with data capture and automation.
  • Content and image production skills, including Adobe Creative Suite proficiency.

If you are ideally looking for a permanent position but still available for temporary work in the meantime this will absolutely be considered. Although the role is full time Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.15pm, the client are flexible for candidates who may have to accommodate school pick up's/drop off's during these hours.
