At EA First, we are looking for a Managing Director to join a growing wholesale business based in Birmingham, operating within the workwear & PPE sector.

As Managing Director you will expand existing operations and explore opportunities for new business functions, whether through organic growth or strategic acquisitions.
This role is crucial for navigating a transformative period and ensuring sustained success in an evolving business landscape.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement the company's long-term strategic plan, aligning business goals with market opportunities and industry trends
- Drive business growth by identifying new markets, product lines, and distribution channels.
- Lead the company's expansion efforts, including exploring potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all departments, including supply chain, sales, marketing, and customer service.
- Implement best practices in procurement, inventory management, and logistics to maintain product quality and availability.
- Manage the company's financial health, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial analysis, cost control, and profitability.
- Oversee the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies to increase market share and brand recognition.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring a reliable supply chain.
- Lead initiatives to innovate and expand the company's product range, staying ahead of industry trends and customer needs.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably within the workwear, PPE, or textiles industries - Essential.
- Must have minimum 5 years experience operating as a Managing Director - Essential.
- Strong understanding of the UK market and regulatory environment.
- Demonstrated success in driving business growth and operational excellence.
- Excellent financial acumen and experience managing budgets and P&L.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse team.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and competitive market.
- Within commutable distance to Birmingham.
