Our client is a non-profit organisation working with people to support their health and wellbeing. Established for over 30 years, they have provided services alongside a variety of statutory and voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) colleagues in Surrey and its boarders. to work within their new support facility called Safe Harbour in Woking

Salary

: £28,938

Hours:

35 hours per week (working hours / pattern to be discussed)

Location

– Woking

The Safe Harbour provision in Woking is a new mental health support facility. It offers a 6 week referral only non-clinical service from 9am – 6pm, 365 days a year for those aged 18 and over.

The aim of the Safe Harbour is to provide service users with a programme of support and psycho-social education tailored around an individuals circumstances and needs as identified in their support plan which: Reduces the frequency and severity of mental health crises these users may experience and provides them with alternative strategies for de-escalation when they do reach crisis.

This post is subject to a DBS check. Please note past drug and/or alcohol or criminality history will not necessarily discount you from undertaking this role

Our ideal applicant will have/be;

  • Experience working within the mental health field is essential
  • Experience of group work would is desirable
  • Knowledge of safeguarding legislation
  • Experience delivering person centred interventions relating to mental health
  • Confidence to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Robust professional boundaries
