Job Summary:
- Maintain top quality standards (ISO9001, FSC, PEFC, ISO14001, BRC).
- Ensure packaging meets food contact regulations.
- Lead the charge on Integrated Management System for top-tier manufacturing.
- Be the primary Quality contact for the site.
Key Duties:
- Handle Quality inquiries as part of the Senior team.
- Stay updated on regulations and contribute technical knowledge to customer queries.
- Lead the HARA Plan.
- Manage Quality Department operations.
- Conduct internal and external Quality/Hygiene Audits.
- Oversee the Quality team, ensuring performance is regularly reviewed.
- Maintain Quality documentation for the Management system.
- Investigate complaints through root cause analysis.
- Report findings and solutions to the Management Team.
- Foster good relationships across departments.
- Promote a Quality Culture and maintain Quality Control equipment.
- Oversee daily Quality assurance activities.
- Compile and report Quality metrics.
- Seek ways to enhance product consistency and reduce failures.
- Manage documents of conformity for key customers.
- Communicate with suppliers, research facilities, and labs.
- Perform additional duties as directed by Senior Managers.
Performance Goals:
- Achieve high scores in Quality & Hygiene Audits.
- Enhance performance in accreditation audits.
- Streamline processes and reduce Quality Complaints.
- Cut non-quality costs and improve Customer Satisfaction.
- Meet monthly European targets.
Qualifications:
- Degree in food chemistry or related field.
- Experience with food contact materials regulations.
- Familiarity with migration reports and risk assessment is beneficial.
- Proficient in English and able to work independently.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a similar role within a packaging manufacturing business.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
