Position: Accounts & Payroll Assistant
Salary Range: £25,000 - £29,000
Location: Wigan

We are partnering with a company in Atherton to find a dedicated Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join their cohesive team. This role is vital for ensuring the business's Payroll and Accounts Administration functions run smoothly and efficiently. The responsibilities will include managing payroll, handling sales and purchase ledgers and performing general administrative tasks.

Ideal Candidate: The successful candidate will have previous experience in payroll and accounts, ideally in a similar position, and will demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process monthly payroll
  • Generate weekly sales reports
  • Process sales invoices
  • Handle purchase invoice processing
  • Manage supplier payments
  • Respond to phone inquiries and perform general office duties
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Manage petty cash
  • Reconcile balance sheets

Desired Attributes and Skills:

  • Experience with Sage Payroll is preferred
  • Proficiency in Sales and Purchase Ledger management, with some payroll experience
  • Strong skills in transaction processing
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills for customer and external contact interactions
