New Business Development Executive

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, or flexible hours.

An exciting Business Development Executive opportunity has arisen at Waste King, a leading UK-wide supplier of waste and environmental services.

We are looking for a candidate to be part of our sales and account management team. You will be expected to generate sales through business development and present proposals and costings to potential customers.

In addition, during your first three months, you will learn the business by handling incoming calls in our busy customer service department, setting up new commercial accounts, and managing existing clients' needs. You will also prospect for new business and organise quality appointments for our field sales team.

As part of your development plan, you will visit customers with our field sales team and learn skills in selling in the field.

The role

Working alongside the current highly skilled sales and customer service team, your primary focus will be to generate sales through business development. You will have exclusivity in your territory, calling on any potential new customers, domestic or commercial. You will be responsible for managing your diary and reporting on your KPIs.

Responsibilities include.

  • Researching the market for suitable sales opportunities
  • Generating new sales through prospecting
  • Booking effective appointments for the Field Sales team (warm leads) or close directly
  • Visiting customers with Field Sales or on their own to close
  • Answering the phone and converting the call to a sale
  • Quoting and costing new opportunities
  • Responding to new lines of enquiry
  • Managing Account Customers and reviving lapsed customers
  • Dealing with customers who need reassurance.
  • Supporting customers to coordinate and introduce new products.
  • Text marketing and Mailchimp strategy

Work pattern:

  • Monday to Friday - 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Possible flexible hours 4 days a week or leave early half day Friday.
