We are seeking a SEND Coordinator to support our educational team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in education and a strong administrative skill set. The successful candidate will have an understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and be comfortable liaising with various agencies, including local authorities and child services.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Coordinate support meetings and liaise with agencies such as local authorities and child services to ensure the needs of SEND students are met.
  • Chase staff, parents, and other stakeholders for information and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all SEND-related information is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Work collaboratively with the educational team to implement SEND strategies and support plans.
  • Provide administrative support to the SEND department, ensuring efficient operation and compliance with policies and regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Enhanced DBS check or registered with the update service.
  • Background in education is desirable.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of SEND policies and procedures is advantageous.
