We are looking for an exceptional, experienced, Credit Control to support with a maternity cover that has come up in a manufacturing business in Tamworth!
This role will be working closely with the finance manager and finance director of the business to be an essential part of this bright, social, fun loving team. Your day to day will be made up of mostly credit control responsibilities, however they are also keen to have this candidate assist with some other sales ledger tasks, such as cash allocation, bank recs, etc. This position is looking to start quite quickly so please only apply if you are immediately available or on a short, one week, notice.
Key responsibilities:
- Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors
- Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customers' credit rankings with banks
- Setting up of terms and conditions of credit
- Ensuring timely payment of debts
- Following up payments as needed
- Negotiating re-payment plans
- Responding to relevant client enquiries
- Processing and reconciliation of invoices
- Checking and posting of receipts to accounting systems
Candidate Attributes and Skills:
- Have previously worked within a credit control position for at least 18 months.
- Be confident with interacting with customers and internal members of the team on the phone and face to face.
- Have had exposure to debt query resolution.
- Be immediately available, or on a short notice.
